In a time when words like “diversity,” “equity,” and “inclusion” are increasingly scrutinized or even banned in some professional settings, coaches face a difficult question: How do we stay values-aligned when the language of justice is under pressure? This interactive session invites life coaches to explore what allyship can look like when DEIB must be practiced without being named. Through real-world scenarios, reflective dialogue, and strategic tools, participants will examine how to hold the line on inclusive, ethical, and courageous coaching practices—even when the external environment makes that work quieter, subtler, or more difficult. This is a space for honest discussion, shared strategies, and a re-centering of coaching as a tool for liberation and belonging.
Identify strategies for embedding DEIB principles into coaching practice without relying on explicitly labeled language.
Reflect on personal values and ethics related to inclusion and apply them to challenging coaching scenarios.
Analyze real or hypothetical coaching environments where allyship must be practiced subtly or strategically.
Develop a personalized “coaching allyship plan” that aligns with their values and responds to current socio-political realities.
