He is the founder and CEO of Work. Trisch Smith Diversity and inclusion champion, communications expert, and public relations veteran are just a few words used to describe Trisch L. Smith. During her extensive tenure with Edelman, the world’s leading global communications marketing agency, Trisch has managed stakeholder outreach, strategic positioning, and crisis and reputation management campaigns for Fortune 500 corporations, including Starbucks, Unilever, HP, Toyota and United Way of America, Prudential and Walmart.
For a decade, Trisch led Edelman’s award-winning multicultural practice, providing senior counsel to a wide range of clients to protect, promote and evolve their brands, as well as effectively engage diverse thought leaders, consumers and other stakeholders. As Edelman’s first global chief diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) officer, Trisch oversees all DEI strategic planning, education, cultural development, external partnerships, and recruitment efforts to ensure Edelman’s workforce reflects the increasingly diverse marketplace.
Trisch serves on several professional boards and has received recognition for her work, including being named a PR Week Women of Distinction 2022, as well as one of the “Top 100 Most Influential Blacks in Corporate America” and “Most Influential Women in Corporate America” in Savoy Magazine.

Gorick is a career adviser at Harvard College, specializing in coaching first-generation, low-income students. He has worked in management consulting at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), investment banking at Credit Suisse, and research with the Managing the Future of Work project at Harvard Business School. He has been featured in The Today Show, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, BuzzFeed, New York Post, Fast Company, and CNBC.
